Amazing…Linus just posted that he stopped using BitKeeper and is looking for alternatives. Two things that might turn out to be interesting:

1. What will happen to BitMover if Linus decideds not to come back? Afterall, McVoy said that BitKeeper was created with the Linux kernel in mind. Now that this huge user population migrates away, it’s:
   1. Bad public relations, afterall why would the kernel hackers switch? It must be something serious.
   2. Less “advertisement,” BitKeeper got a lot of exposure from the kernel community. That might be over now.

2. What will happen to the kernel now that it’s diff & patch again.

Monotone looks nice, but I didn’t look at it too closely - yet.
